I sincerely hope that the people in Japan can get back to their normal lives soon with heating, running water, and food.

This weekend we went to Seattle for the Bosnian mosque opening. ^w^
What I do on a loooonng and boring 6 hour car trip? Isn't it only 5 hours? Not if you stop to go to the bathroom and make a pitstop at boring Ellensberg where we bought gifts for the Imam of the mosque and his family and for the people generous enough to allow us to stay at their house ^w^
We got flowers, chocolates, and 2 bags for fruits like bananas, strawberries, apples, pears and other I can't remember >.< The store in Ellensberg was full of white people of 50 years old.... I wonder if anybody under 40 even lives there... XD My three story school building is taller than any building in downtown Ellensberg XD
But the town is very cute and there are many ranches surrounding downtown ^.^
Random picture of the trees on the side of the road
Almost to Snoqualmie pass.
In Snoqualmie pass XD
There were even HUGE icicles on the sides of the road sometimes. They were pretty but I couldn't get any decent pictures >.<
The dome in the mosque with the beautiful chandelier. I am on the balcony area. The women are on the second floor and then men are on the first floor.
A pretty window in the Woman's section
Gorgeous Arabic calligraphy adorns the walls and ceiling of the mosque ^w^
Turkish painters were brought to America to paint all of this. I heard they worked for free; all that was paid was their ticket to America and they stayed with the Imams family.
A design on a small pillar by a window.
Another ceiling pattern ^w^
More ceiling design.
The Mosque opening was officially on Saturday morning. Some people stayed after the program on Friday and prayed all night!
It was raining too >.< Good thing there was a tent
The Imam prays in the front of everybody because he leads the prayer. You can go on a staircase behind the structure and get to the little balcony on the right side too :)
Some random thing in the corner that was so pretty to me. It glittered. My camera didn't catch it essence as nicely as I wanted >.<
I think it's just awesome decoration XD
Close up of the chandelier. This picture was taken at night. The mosque has great lighting and an abundance of window for sunlight during the day.
A closer shot of the... I don't know what it's called >.<
A design on the carpet!
View from the back of the balcony area, also the Woman's section.
A design by a window. The window was.. indented? in an alcove possibly.... I don't know what it's called >.<
A random AMAZING plad car XD
more ceiling designs
The people we stayed with lived in Kingston so we had to ride the ferry to get there. This is a random picture on the ferry's rainy deck XD
Me and my mom on the ferry on Sunday when we are leaving.
The other ferry going toward Kingston (we were going toward Easton.. or is it Edmonds... something with an E XD )
Downtown Seattle at a distance
Space needle at a distance... I think I brought the rain... >.< The rain followed us home as well XD

Wow. The Mosque is beautiful! I like all the decorations. I also liked the shiny thing in the corner. ^^ I'm glad you had a good time, except for the boring drive. Teehee. Oh, and you spelled plaid wrong, but you're right, that's a freaking awesome car!
